About the event
Job Responsibilities:
- Motor Repairs and Maintenance: Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on bus and truck engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Mechanical System Diagnostics: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify faults in engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Part Replacement: Assess and replace damaged or worn-out parts such as brakes, clutches, gearboxes, and suspension systems.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and prolong operational lifespan.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues and provide effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle reliability.
- Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet industry standards and safety regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and overall maintenance for each vehicle.
Job Details:
- Contract: Permanent
- Location: Trondheim, Norway
- Wage: 300 NOK/hour
- Hours: Up to 48 hours/week, with potential for overtime
- Start Date: Immediate
- Accommodation: 4500 NOK/month in a modular motel, single occupancy with private bathroom, shared kitchen, weekly room cleaning including linen change, free WiFi and electricity
- Vacation Pay: In accordance with the collective agreement
- Pension Contributions: Provided
- Work Equipment: Full work gear and necessary tools provided
- HMS Card: Supplied for site access
- D-number Assistance: Support with obtaining necessary documentation
Requirements:
- Qualified mechanic with at least 5 years of experience in bus and truck maintenance
- Strong understanding of heavy vehicle diagnostics, motor repair, and mechanical systems
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Fluent in English or Norwegian
- Ability to start immediately
- International transport is not provided
